Luna 2 is an ultra-modern 5-bedroom house, which operates as a 5-star boutique hotel. We are located in Seminyak, on the beach between the Sofitel and the Oberoi hotels, and are just a short walk away from neighbouring bars and restaurants. We are 15 minutes drive from the airport.

Luna 2 launched in Seminyak in early March 2007 with the arrival of its General Manager/ Executive Chef Danny Drinkwater. Situated beachfront, in the heart of the 'Chelsea' of Bali, and with leading edge modern design, it is the first of its kind in Bali to offer the exclusivity of a 5-star boutique hotel, whilst maintaining the privacy of a private home. Owner Melanie Hall always intended that wining & dining would become an inherent part of the guest's Luna2 experience. To this end, it is incredibly staffed with 2 internationally acclaimed chefs to assist Danny, as well as a professional butler, barman, waiters, drivers, and a baby-sitter, to name but a few. All of whom are trained to be discreet, yet attentive - to cater to the whims of Luna2's well-travelled executives and design-junkies alike.

The 5-bedroom home can be rented entirely, but equally serves as an incredible venue for personalised events, with expansive well-groomed lawns and terraces, which provide the ultimate in outdoor chill & lounge 'zones'. Additionally, all interior space, being fully air-conditioned throughout, is a superb alternative to the usual alfresco option - indeed a rare concept in Bali. Luna2 particularly delights in throwing cocktail parties for up to 100 guests. It may even become better known for its intimate dining evenings at the chef's table, with its uninterrupted views of the ocean. It's quite frankly breath-taking, with the breeze, the sunset and the obligatory 'lunatini' in hand, along with Executive Chef Danny Drinkwater's sensational canap�s, and 'lunafood', it is sure to challenge Bali's finest dining establishments.

Architecturally inspired by Melanie's father's earlier work, and largely by Richard Neutra's modernist designs of the late 50's and early 60's, Melanie commissioned architect David Wahl, now based in Washington DC and previously living in Jakarta for eight years, who then produced this ground-breaking design for the Halls. With a distinct reference to James Bond decadence, including a sunken sitting room and designer classics throughout, the interior design was created by Melanie, who defines the style loosely as "funked up" modernism. In her approach to design, she reveres the timelessness of the past, yet welcomes the newness of the future, and is known to say, "just a little bit more is more", but provides a lot of "wow factor" along the way.

Luna2 was conceptualised and designed to appeal both to guests with or without kids. The activities co-ordinator will organise horse-riding, football and jogging on the beach, badminton, kids BBQ's and mini-camping evenings, swimming games in the pool, as well as supervising the kids in the amply-filled TV/ playroom, equipped with 'X-box' and masses of dvd's. Resulting in happy kids, and ultimately allows Mum and Dad to enjoy their (very) Happy Hour poolside - uninterrupted!

The focal point of Luna2 has become its bar - a great place to meet and entertain friends. It is stocked full of chilled champagne of course, and has a comprehensive wine list as well as a hard-to-beat selection of vodkas. The Bose surround sound system spins the latest in chill, lounge and tracks from the past. The room boasts a stunning Bisazza mosaic wall backdrop, not to mention the Circle of Love round orange modular sofa, which provides the perfect spot to drop after a long hard day by the pool.

There are 5 bedrooms, all with en suites, and each is provided with TV, DVD player, Bose sound docks and 'ipods', as well as wireless internet throughout. Dornbracht and Gessi taps, and the latest Philippe Starck cubic loos furnish each bathroom.

Swipe card access is provided for all guests and staff for increased security. The house has 24-hour security by Securicor guards. It is also equipped with intercom and PABX hotel phone system.

Other services include the in-house Ve-spa funky spa treatments, to totally pamper you - any time, any place, anywhere in the house.
